The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Isaiah 55:7: “Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.” The prophet of old tells his people the message he received from God. That message has not changed and is applicable for all even today: repent of our sins, trust in the Lord, and all our sins will be forgiven. God desires our obedience and allegiance as His children and does not wish us to be defiant and stiff-necked as an unruly child. It’s so important that we study the BIBLE as the infallible Word of God and learn from its history.

We have a work to do. Let’s be sure to share the love, joy, and kindness God has instilled in the hearts of Christians. First and foremost, God is love. We must never forget that all-important aspect of God’s nature. Amen! is an online news website covering Simpson and surrounding counties as well as the State of Mississippi.
