Magee’s baseball team won an unbelievable game Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at West Marion High School in Columbia (8-5).  Hats off to our awesome team for bringing home the South State Championship trophy.  These kids and fans battled for 4 hours to win the game!  What a tribute to Coach Allen Eubanks and his team.  I am so proud.

Being a former baseball mom, I dearly love baseball!  I knew and felt what those players and coaches were experiencing.  A lot of people say baseball is too slow to enjoy watching.  Apparently, they have never watched a “real” baseball game.  Tuesday night was a real baseball game…a battle to the end…and 14 innings…I don’t think I  ever experienced that situation.

The players, coaches, and fans are up and going because Magee plays in the State Play-off beginning today (Wednesday) at Trustmark Park @ 1 against North Ponotoc,  I’m just saying, the rain situation has wrecked havoc with the pitching line up.  These pitchers can’t pitch back to back due to regulations and safety.  Our Trojans are going to dig deeper  today as they begin the 2 out of 3 series.

I can’t write this without saying something about Coach Eubanks.  I have know Jeffrey Allen Eubanks since he was a little boy.  My boys grew up playing ball with Jeffrey Allen  and Moose, his dad,,working behind the plate.  Allen Eubanks has loved baseball all his life.  He is living the dream that he has worked for since little league.  I am proud of you , Jeffrey Allen. I am saying a prayer and screaming loudly for this Trojan team today!  Your team are truly Trojan Warriors.
