It was a hard fought win against a really good Quitman team, who was senior loaded with over 20 seniors on their roster. We took an early lead but after they tied it up, we had a really long play get called back for holding. I felt like momentum changed and it was hard for us to get the momentum back for a while after that. Our defense kept us in the game after being put in some really bad spots. Second half we were able to execute a little better in the run game. Moving forward, we have to play a lot cleaner football, but I won’t apologize for a win because they are so hard to come by at this level on the playoffs. We are one of the last 16 teams standing and a lot of people didn’t expect that after having to replace every starter from last season. We just have to keep putting together good weeks of practice.
