Mrs. Chyrel Grayson Bynum passed from this life on Thursday, November 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 31, 1947, to the late Leon Jones and Hazel Jones in Simpson County.

Chyrel was a devoted member of Coat Baptist Church, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She found joy in taking care of anyone she came into contact with, which was reflected in the joy she took in her work with Food Services for twenty-seven years at Simpson County Schools. When children would see her, they often called her “The Lunch Lady.” She was the heart of her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The last ten years of her life have been filled with joy and happiness with her loving husband, Harold. They enjoyed spending quality time with each other and their families. On many afternoons, you could find them watching Gunsmoke, Wheel of Fortune, and Law and Order SVU, to name just a few.
