Friday night, September 21, the Lanier Bulldogs were destroyed by our Magee High Trojan Football Team! The game was very close, and it was hard to predict who would come out victorious.

Magee Elementary little cheerleaders gave everyone a show before the game as part of the annual Magee Mini Cheer Camp! The little cheerleaders pepped up our boys and fans, and it really showed in the first quarter!

Our Trojans started strong obtaining a 28 point lead over the Bulldogs. Touchdowns were made by #1, Josh Sanders and #5 Ross McInnis.

The Bulldogs fought back in the second quarter and brought their score up to 12.

The Pride of Simpson County Magee High School Marching Band performed at halftime wowing the crowd with their entire Justice League show.  The band has been working hard in preparation for their upcoming competition. They will be competing at Copiah Academy on October 6, 2018.

In the third quarter, the Bulldogs managed to tie with Magee at 28-28, but the Trojans scored again and remained in the lead! Chandler Pittman passed the ball to Ross McInnis who ran for a touchdown. The score was 42-28.

Fourth quarter started with a pass by Lanier that #15, Bronsha Harris, for Magee intercepted! Next, Magee scored a touchdown with Lanier scoring right behind Magee. Magee gets the ball from the Bulldogs and scores yet another touchdown!

The game ended with a final touchdown by Magee with one second left on the clock, bringing the final score to 62-34!

Come out and support our Trojans as they travel next week to play Velma Jackson Friday, September 28.
