Trojans Speed Past Tigers

Magee High School Trojans started with a early lead over the Mendenhall Tigers Monday, February 25, 2019 at home. Trojans defeated the tigers by a score of 13-1.

On the rubber for the Trojans was Senior, Luke West. Luke would go 4 complete innings after giving up an unearn run after a hit -by -pitch. West allowed only three hits and nine strike outs.

Mendenhall started the scoring when Keshun Collier led off with a hit-by-pitch. He later stole second and third and ended up scoring on a throwing error by catcher Mason Booth.

On the rubber for Mendenhall was Christian Allen. Allen would last one inning. James Magee and Christian Brown would serve as reliefs for the Tigers.

Caleb Brown led off the inn for Magee with an infield single followed by a single by Chandler Pittman that ended up going under the glove of the right fielder to advance Caleb all the way home and Chandler to third base. Zack Teater, Seth Russell and Adam May would all reach base by free passes and eventually score in the inning to give the Trojans a 5-1 lead.

Trojans has a total of nine hits with big plays coming from Caleb Brown, Zack Teater, and Chandler Pittaman allowing two hits each.

Mendenhall started the scoring when Keshun Collier led off with a hit-by-pitch. He later stole second and third and ended up scoring on a throwing error by catcher Mason Booth.

Chandler Pittman would reach base on an error for Magee leading off the second inning. He was followed with a base on balls by Zack Teater and a hit by pitch by Seth Russell. Adam May would clear the bases on a 3 RBI double. Adam May and Cayden Bridges would later score in the inning.

Chandler Pittman would lead off again in the third inning with a single. Zack Teater would answer with a single. Seth Russell would score Chandler with a double to right field. Brennon McNair would score Zack on a single.

Josh Sanders would leadoff the fourth inning with a base on balls before Zack Teater had the walkoff hit in the bottom of the 4th scoring him.

Next up for the Trojans is Florence at Magee Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Game time is 7:00 for Varsity.
