William Carey University welcomed about 300 incoming students and their families to campus on March 28 for Carey Bound! It’s an early registration event for first-time students and transfer students starting classes in the fall. Carey Bound is a chance for students to register for classes, meet with academic advisors, have lunch, and learn about student organizations. This year’s event also got students and their parents together for activities like creating custom hats, arranging flowers, packing goodie boxes, and painting Easter pictures. It wrapped up with a “Faith and Family” meeting at Bass Chapel. In the afternoon, visitors had a chance to walk over to the Kennedy Sports Complex and watch the Lady Crusaders take on Faulkner University in a softball double-header. They won both games, 3-1 and 7-0.
