Quarantined and two weeks of no practice or play, obliviously did not affect the Trojans as they slaughtered the Crystal Springs Tigers by a score of 54-14 on the Tigers home turf.

Magee traveled to Crystal Springs for a non-conference game to face the undefeated Tigers!

Magee’s Head Coach Teddy Dyess did a great job keeping his players motivated, focused and ready for play.

Magee’s offense led by Offensive Coordinator Caleb Shufelt was explosive scoring 56 points. Magee’s defense led by Defensive Coordinator Jarrod Milloy held strong allowing 14 points and those points came late in the game.

Magee wasted no time finding the endzone early. #1 Cayden Bridges scored on an 8-yard reception from #2 Chandler Pittman. The 2-point conversion pass failed. Magee led by a score of 6-0 to end the first quarter.

Second quarter Magee came alive. #2 Pittman completed a pass to #1 Bridges for a Touchdown. Magee increase the led by a score of 12-0. A 2-point conversion from Pittman to #7 Xavier Franks was good. Trojans were on top by a score of 14-0.

#2 Pittman scored on a quarter back keeper. The point after attempt was good Magee led by a score of 21-0. Magee found the endzone again on a pass to #7 Franks for a touchdown. The point after attempt was no good. Trojans increased the led by a score of 27-0.

#2 Pittman scored once again on a rushing touchdown. The point after attempt was missed. The Trojans led by a score of 33-0 entering halftime.

Magee kicked off to Crystal Springs to start the second half. Crystal Springs completed a pass for a touchdown. Two -point conversion was good. Magee still on top by a score of 33-8.

Magee answered when #2 Pittman completed a pass to #7 Franks. The point after attempt by #25 Gavin Chafin was good. Trojans increased lead by a score of 40-8.

Pittman would find the endzone again crossing the goal line and scoring on a rushing touchdown. #35 Chafin’s point after attempt was good. Trojans led by a score of 47-8.

Magee’s #11 Thomas Dyess completed a pass to #5 Jaylen Floyd for a touchdown. #25 Chafin’s point after attempt was good Trojans led by a score of 54-8 to end the third quarter.

Crystal Springs scored on a completed pass for a touchdown. Magee led by a score of 54-14.

Magee would hold defensively the rest of the quarter to seal the win.

To avoid another outbreak of everyone possible being quarantined again, the cheerleaders cheered from the stands for this game. The ladies did a great job supporting and cheering on the Trojans.

Trojans will celebrate the win, but the boys will be back to work Monday evening preparing for district.

District play starts Friday, October 2, 2020 with a road game to face the Seminary Bulldogs. Game time is 7:00 p.m.

The Bulldogs are coming off a loss against Purvis. Magee hopes to continue their winning streak on the road.
