Magee faced the Seminary Bulldogs for the first game of district play Friday, October 4, 2019 at Trojan Field. Seminary won the toss and chose to receive the ball for opening kickoff.

Magee entered into district play undefeated. Magee faced a strong Seminary team. The Trojans did not let that affect them. Things were not in Magee’s favor at first receiving back to back to back penalties. With 7:34 left in the first quarter Magee’s Sam Rials made a 37-yard field goal to put the Trojans on the board first. Magee would answer back quickly and score with 3:42 left on the clock with a quarter back keeper 5-yard touchdown run by Chandler Pittman. The Point after attempt was blocked. Magee led by a score of 9-0. Trojans wasted no time getting the ball back from Seminary and scored with 1:18 left on the clock the in first on a 25-yard interception by #24 Daryious Collins for the Trojans. The two-point conversion by Jawon Shaw was good. Magee led by a score of 17-0.

During the second quarter Seminary scored on a long 38-yard touchdown run by Jordan Barnett. The point after attempt was no good. The score was Magee 17- Seminary 6. After a 55-yard kick off return Magee scored on a 1-yard run by Pittman. The point after attempt was good. Magee increased the lead by a score of 24-6. Seminary answered on a 7-yard run by Cameron Sanford. The two-point conversion was no good. The score was Magee 24 – Seminary 12. Magee found the end zone again when #1 Josh Sanders who scored on a 31-yard touchdown reception from Pittman. The Point after attempt was no good. Seminary answered on a 13-yard touchdown reception from Poun’darius Youngblood. The two-point conversion by Joseph Owens was good. Magee scored on a 5-yard run by Shaw to end the half. The point after attempt by Rails was good. Magee led by a score of 37-20 to end the first half.

Third quarter Magee scored on a 4-yard run by Cayden Bridges. The point after attempt by Rails was good. Rain and lighting began. The game entered in a weather delay due to the lightning.

The weather cleared for play and the teams entered back into the field. Seminary scored on an 18-yard yard run by Owens. The point after attempt by Brandon Webb was good. Magee was still on top by a score of 44-27. Magee answered when #2 Pittman completed a 8-yard run. The point after attempt by Rials was good. Trojans sealed the win by a score of 51-27.

With the win the Trojans remain perfect on the season with a 7-0 record. Magee will travel to West Marion Friday, October 11, 2019 for the battle of the Trojans. Which Trojan will come out on top?
