Magee Trojan Volleyball teams fought a tough battle with the West Jones Mustangs Thursday night. Although the Junior Varsity Trojans put up a valiant effort, they started off the night losing the first set. Trying their best to gain momentum but falling short in the second set as well, the Junior Varsity game ended with the Mustangs winning two out of two sets.

The Varsity Lady Trojans started the first set off strong.  They were able to retaliate the Mustangs’ efforts to send the ball over the net with dynamic spikes.  Despite their hard work, the Lady Trojans lost the first two sets. Starting the third set with intense energy, the whole set battled back and forth with Magee and West Jones constantly tying the game. Abby Myers, #18, and Selena Vasquez, #3, provided great saves, but the game ended with a final score of 18-25 leaving the Lady Trojans defeated.

Please continue to show your support for our Lady Trojans when both volleyball teams play next Saturday, September 8, against Mendenhall on the Tiger court. Junior Varsity will play at 11:00 am, and Varsity will play at 12:00 pm.
