Magee baseball snags a road win against Florence by a score of 7-3 Monday, April 6, 2021.

Massage added two more runs in the top of the 3rd with back-to-back errors by Florence that allowed Kaden Harper to drive in a run with a single. Magee would score three more runs in the top of the 4th with a two run RBI double by Chandler Pittman and a double by Brennon McNair.

Florence would eventually break up the no-hitter, Magee’s pitcher had going, with a solo Homerun in the bottom of the 4th inning. Jordan Magee pitched for the Trojans and commanded the strike zone all night only allowing 2 hits and had 6 strikeouts. Chandler Pittman would come in to finish the game in the bottom of the 7th inning.

Eubanks stated “Jordan pitched well, had great command of his pitches and attacked the strikezone and let our defense play. Our defense made some stellar plays and played an error free game. Banks Teater made some great blocks catching to keep baserunners at bay. Offensively, we had some really good at bats, we did a good job moving runners when needed, but I believe our speed put more pressure on their defense.”
Next game for the Trojans will be on the road at Velma Jackson Tuesday, April 6, 20201 at 5:00 p.m.
