For twins Jacie and Jacob Dickerson, along with their younger sister Joanna, being MSU Bulldogs together as college students has reinforced the strong bonds they built in childhood.

Born and raised in Magee, they grew up attending the same elementary and high schools before enrolling at Jones College and later transferring to MSU.

Upon their move to Starkville, they cemented their love for the university and for being part of the Bulldog family. They’ve made memories with new friends and continued to invest in their own family ties, especially by enjoying meals together and working alongside each other.

“Jacob and I worked at Mugshots together, and I started working at Oby’s because my sister works there,” said Jacie. “I would say just being able to work together is why I like being here with them too.”

As the twins approach graduation this week, they said they always will share fond memories of their college days together.

“We would definitely recommend attending the same college as your siblings,” said Jacie. “It has been fun being here together.”

This week, Jacob is earning his kinesiology degree, graduating during Thursday’s [May 15] 6:30 p.m. commencement ceremony. Jacie is earning her degree in business administration, walking during Friday morning [May 16] commencement exercises. Joanna is continuing as a junior finance major.
