Tricia “Tish” Dawn Barr, 50 of Martinville, Ms passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024. She was born on September 19, 1974

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in Magee, MS. Burial will follow in Old Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall, MS.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Tish was a fiercely loyal daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She worked for the USPS for 27 years, and was one of the youngest Postmasters in Mississippi at the age of 27 years old. She loved animals more than humans. Above all else, she loved her nieces, Mia (16) and Anna (6) Williams which included spoiling them with surprises.

Tish’s happiest times were being outside doing anything. She enjoyed landscaping her yard, bushhogging, and tending to her animals with Jamie Doyle.  Tish made the world a happier place for everyone around her and her smile will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Evelyn Smith and Howard and Nezzie Barr.

Survivors include her father, Stanley Barr of Mendenhall, MS; mother, Priscilla Smith Barr of Mendenhall, MS; sister, Missy Barr Williams (Chris) of Mendenhall, MS;  nieces, Mia Williams of Mendenhall, MS and Anna Williams of Mendenhall, MS;  fiance, James D King of Mendenhall, MS.
