JACKSON, MS — AccelerateMS, the lead office for workforce development strategy and coordination, has named Trey Smith as Director of Talent Solutions to strategize and implement recruitment and training initiatives to bolster economic development in Mississippi. 

 

Collaborating with educational institutions and training providers, Smith will lead the customization of solutions for emerging and growing businesses. His responsibilities include crafting recruitment strategies, designing personalized training initiatives, and providing organizational development services, all geared toward meeting the specific needs of clients.

Smith has over 15 years of experience in manufacturing and most recently served as the manufacturing business developer with Pearl River Community College. Prior to that, he was a human resources manager with Idaho Forrest Group and Kohler Engines and the field employee relations manager with Sanderson Farms.  

 

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.
