Timothy Glynn Keen (Timmy) passed away at his residence on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on September 17, 1959, in Jackson, Mississippi, to James Wesley Keen and Lavelle Miller Keen, Timmy lived a life full of music, laughter, and love. He worked as a truck driver, known by his CB handle ‘Popcorn’.
Timmy had a deep passion for all kinds of music, and his drumming in a local band brought joy to many. He also spent time playing in a gospel quartet. He was also a sports fan, especially enjoying football and Nascar races at Talladega. Timmy loved hunting and fishing outdoors, especially with his beloved German Shepherd, Turnip Green.
Timmy will be remembered for his kind heart, his infectious laughter, and the warmth and humor that brightened the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Timmy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, David Clark. He is survived by a daughter, Maggie Keen; brother, Jimmy Keen (Martha); sister, Pam Clark; nephews, Brian Clark (Samantha) and John Crowe; nieces Shelley Clark (Colin) and Lauren Keen Carroll (Matt). He also leaves behind great-nieces Shaleigh Carroll and Story Kelly; and nephew Wesley Kelly, who will forever cherish their memories of him. The family would like to especially thank Sue Harvey for taking care of Timmy and being a true friend.
A celebration of Timmy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Mama’s Kitchen in Richland, MS. The family invites everyone to join in remembering his life, sharing stories, and celebrating the joy he brought to those who knew him.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
