The extra hour of sleep is within our reach tonight. I am one who wishes we stayed the same all year. Adjusting to the “new” time takes a toll on lots of people. I am usually one of them.
My body has finally (takes a year!) adjusted to waking at a descent time…..here I go again….who likes blackness at 6 o’clock PM?
Daylight saving time ends at 2 AM on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
Daylight saving time became a national standard in 1966 when President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Uniform Time Act, which was established as a way to continue to conserve energy.
Presently, Hawaii and Arizona are the only two U.S. states that do not observe daylight saving time.
If the Sunshine Protection Act of 2021 becomes law, the bill would make daylight saving time the new, permanent standard time as of Nov. 5, 2023. That means, if it becomes law, once clocks spring forward next March they would not again change in November of next year.
I’ll be making the change before I go to bed…or otherwise, I will miss Brother Jim challenging me to live a better life and help others.
Enjoy the extra hour of sleep.
