Merry Christmas Magee and More!

I can’t believe Christmas is almost here!  I keep thinking “I need one more week.”  But what would that week really give me?  I imagine just more days to procrastinate!  It’s not like the date of Christmas is a surprise…and unknown!

Happy 14th Birthday to Larkin!!!

Happy 14th Birthday to Larkin!!!

April 8, 2026

Thank you to each of you for your faithfulness and support of MageeNews.com.  I strive to bring news and happiness (they don’t always go together!).

I have made so many new friends who continue to encourage me.  Thank you.  My old friends are my rock!  Ya’ll have stood by me in tough times when the water was hot!

I love Magee and want the best for our city and our county.  We need to support one another…not tear down.

God has richly blessed me.  As most of you know, I had a son die by suicide 23 years ago.  Each Christmas just tightens my heart even more.  Trying to stay positive…trying to encourage others…praying for others…Grief is a permanent part of my life. But through God’s mercy, I can go forward.

Hug your family and your friends.  Tell them you love them.  Share the love.

I didn’t realize I had not posted this “Christmas message!”  But as usual, I’m always a little late.

I just decided to go ahead and post!

I hope everyone has a blessed holidays and hangs together as we prepare for the New Year.

In Montgomery for Christmas with Breck and family
Do you recognize this guy??? Jim McAlpin from the Sanatorium and granddaughter. Jimbo now lives in Jupiter, FL
Breck and Sue in Magee. On top of the tree is a homemade angel made by my son Larkin. The angle is made from a paper plate and is colored in orange. Probably my most treasured ornament.
Chuck and I enjoyed a week in the mountains in the fall.
Dickey and family plus Lynda’s mother Patty Garney. Lynda’s father, Charles Garney, died during the holidays.

I have goals for the New Year…but some of them are the same as last year!

I hope to begin a podcast—“Stir the Pot.”  Not let me say, stirring the pot is not always a bad thing!  I am always open to ideas for an episode!

I enjoyed my time with family and look forward to Sunday when we celebrate again!
