The Scriptural passage selected is found in Romans 8:2: “Through Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.” Amen! Through the shedding of Jesus’ blood on the cross, He made possible the marvelous gift of salvation for all mankind and released us from the bonds of sin and death, promising eternal life with Him. “Glorious freedom! Wonderful freedom! No more in chains of sin I repine. Jesus the glorious Emancipator, now and forever Jesus is mine!” I do love the chorus of that wonderful old hymn. Let us be forever grateful for this wonderful freedom!
