The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Isaiah 40:31: “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.” Oh, yes, what a friend we have in Jesus! The prophet of old proclaimed to his people, God’s chosen, that their hope must lie in God, their source of strength if they would but rely on Him, trust, and believe. The same applies to us today if we claim to be Christian. Our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ. Teach us, Lord, to wait upon You and place our hope in You. Amen!
