Thomas Ray (T.R.) Rice passed away on December 28, 2020, at the age of 76. He was born to Ernest and Brilla (Miller) Rice on February 24, 1944, in Harrisville, MS.

He retired after working for many years at Eaton Corporation in Jackson, formerly known as Vickers.. He was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Jeannie Rice; sons, Tim Sullivan (Eva)  and Duane Sullivan; daughters, Sandra Barnette (Kenneth), Melissa Fortenberry, Cyndi Spikes; brothers, Fred Rice (Deborah), Gary Rice (Ruth) , and Kenneth Rice (Jan); sisters, Annie Mae Lawrence, Dorothy Humphries, Linda Sue Berry (Kermit), Rita Breeden; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by her parents Earnest and Brilla Rice; siblings, Wilburn Rice, Betty Lou Morehead, Gelene Johnson; and granddaughter Amanda Barnette.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Gum Springs Cemetery in Braxton, MS at 11:00 am. Bro. Randy Moore and Bro. James Blakeney will officiate with interment following.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
