Friends and neighbours: As your Simpson County School Board member for District Three, my priority will be a quality education for every young one in Simpson County. Sadly, Simpson County Public Schools are only  “C” rated. We must not be satisfied with mediocrity, but strive for excellence. I will not be satisfied until every Simpson County School is “A” rated. As your school board member I will advocate for raising the passing grade back to 70. It was a serious mistake to lower it to 60. If we do not expect much, we are not likely to get much. I will also work to restore the teaching of cursive writing. No one should consider themselves to be educated if they cannot write in cursive. That is the reason my wife Brenda has been teaching cursive writing to our own grandchild in public school. I will also work to be sure young Simpson Countians are taught the true history of our country and our rich Christian Heritage. I will oppose the efforts of the Federal Department of Education to brainwash our children. As a member of the Simpson County School Board I will work for excellence in our schools.
