Thomas K. Yelverton passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Covington County Hospital in Collins, MS. He was born on July 20, 1928, to William Vernice Yelverton and Onie Gardner Yelverton in Sylvarena, MS.

In his early years, he saw a young lady named VL McLendon, and knew right then that he wanted to marry her. He and his bride were married for over fifty-three years. They moved to Jackson where they started their family and careers. He started working with Mississippi Product Company and eventually retired from there after many years. They would always come home to their farm, the Virgo Place, every weekend and would eventually build on the home place. He enjoyed doing anything outdoors whether it be fixing fence, calling up his cows or just riding the four wheeler.

He is survived by his daughters, Gail Sheffield (Terry), Donna Wells (Larry), Chris Dossey; two sisters, Dorothy Lewis (Jim), Jo Sherman (Gent); nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and great grandson, Austin Dossey, that has taken care of him for the last seven years.
