Brenda Harrison Tanner, 89, of Jackson, MS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at her daughter’s residence in Raymond, MS. She was born on August 15, 1937, in Ranger TX.
She transitioned to be with the Lord. Colonial Chapel in Magee will handle her service. Visitation will be Friday, August 21,2026 from 1:00PM to 2:30 PM and laid to rest until her resurrection at Waco- Fairmont Cemetery, She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Osier, son Osier W. Tanner II (Lisa), and daughters Dixie D. Tanner and Brenda L. Tanner.
She was faithful in attendance and an active member in her church, leading fundraisers, Sunday School teacher and youth church trips. Her walk talked and lead by example daily.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady Earl and Bonnie Minta Hall Harrison and sister, Linda E. Harrison
Visitation will be held at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM at the same location, with burial at Waco-Fairmont Cemetery. Bro. Alan McCullough and Bro. Clint Ware. will officiate. Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee.
