Thomas J Sullivan, 82, of Starkville, Mississippi, died Friday at home. He was born Thursday, January 2, 1936, in Smith County, MS.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Magee in Magee, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Magee in Magee. The Burial will follow in Merchant Cemetery. Bro Damon Ivy will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
Mr. Sullivan was a member of East Starkville Baptist Church. He graduated from White Oak High School in Smith County, MS. He served his country for 4 years in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a loyal member of the Abert #89 Masonic Lodge in Starkville, MS. He was also a faithful member of the Starkville Shriners. He was retired from Oktibbeha County School as Maintenance Director. He was married to the former Ruby Latham of Starkville, MS on May 19, 1961, and to this Union 3 beautiful children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Sullivan and Viola (Steward) Sullivan, Sister, Johnnie Sullivan Ivy and Brother, Alvie G. Sulllivan.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years Ruby Latham Sullivan, Children, Randy Sullivan (Lorie), Teddy Sullivan, Cynthia Dukes, Grandchildren, Chasity Wilson, Richard Wilson, Shelley Dukes, Sara Thibeadux, Candy Fowler, Glenn Fowler, Great-grandchildren, Caden Wilson, Emma Wilson, Savannah Reynolds, Brother, Jr. Sullivan, and Sister, Patricia Adcox Sister-in-laws, Jackie Sullivan, Doris Sullivan, Margaret Dukes, Linda Fowler, Patsy Fowler, Vicky Latham, Brother-in-law, James (Buddy) Latham, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
