IrisThomas Davis Weathersby, 83, went to be with his Savior February 7, 2015. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm, February 10 and 1:00-2:00 pm, February 11 with funeral services and interment following at Weathersby Baptist Church, where he was a devout member.

Arrangements entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
Tom was born on September 19, 1931 to Lem Ellis, Sr. and Theodocia Josephine (Woods) Weathersby in Weathersby, MS.  Tom joined the navy and served from 1950 to 1954 in Japan and Hawaii, marrying his sweetheart, Ernestine Batton in 1952. His passions included his love of God, family, gardening, woodworking, singing and playing guitar.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ernestine; siblings Lem Ellis, Jr. (Bernice) Weathersby, Dorothy Weathersby and Jo Ann (Marshall) Salters.

He is survived by a  brother A.G. (Rita) Weathersby; children, Paul (Connie) Weathersby, Robin (Byron) Duncan, Lea Ann (Ben) Leatherman, John (Tamara) Weathersby; grandchildren, Lindsey, Ashley, Christy, Cole, Andrea and Jaqueline; eight great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and dear friend Merle Craft.
Memorials may be made to Weathersby Baptist Church, 114 Church Street, Mendenhall, MS 39114 or to the charity of your choice.
