Theresa Holbrook Duckworth passed away on May 29, 2016, at Simpson General Hospital. She was born on November 21, 1926, to the late J. D. and Myrtle (Grubbs) Holbrook.

She was retired from a career of banking with People’s Bank in Mendenhall.

Mrs. Duckworth is survived by one son, Herman H. Duckworth, Jr. (Tesa); one daughter, Betsy Osborn (Allen); one brother, Jimmy Holbrook; five grandchildren, Josh Duckworth (Natalie), Justin Duckworth (Candace), Jeremy Duckworth (Holly), Brett Osborn (Courtney), Callie Hardy (Lee); nine great-grandchildren, Camden Duckworth, Taylor Duckworth, Jackson Duckworth, Adison Evans, Carter Evans, Layla Evans, Graycen Claire Osborn, Rylee Hardy and Tynlee Hardy.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty four years, Herman H. Duckworth, Sr.; two brothers, John Earl Holbrook, Derwood (Buddy) Holbrook and sister, Dollie (Dot) Crawford.

Visitation for friends and family will be Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS., with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Tutor Chapel. Interment will be in Mendenhall City Cemetery. Rev. Trent Sullivan will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family request a donation to Gideon’s International, Post Office Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800 or www.gideons.org

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
