I hope James will not mind my sharing this writing.  James is such a gifted and blessed man.  Please pray for him.
I would be remiss if I didn’t include a Scriptural passage for today. It’s found in 1 Timothy 6:7: “For we brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out of it.” The early Christians were often reminded by the apostles that man’s life’s a vapor full of woe. During our lifetime, we can amass all the world’s wealth; however, when the death knell sounds for us, we’ll take none of it with us. As my mother loved saying, “There’s a reason shrouds have no pockets.” Also, as she neared the end of her life, she began telling us, “I’ve never seen a hearse pulling a U-Haul.” My mother was a wise woman. She knew from having lived her 92 years in close communion with God and in full awareness of God’s Word. Let us so live that when our time comes, we’ll cling to God’s unchanging Hand. As the old gospel song puts it: “If a castle you’re sporting while the devil you’re courting, wait til you see me in my new new home… You talk about your priceless jewels rich and rare, I praise the Lord for mansions bright beyond compare. So, If you think you’re a wonder; earthly goods you now squander; wait til you see me in my new home!” Amen!
Continue to pray for me, and I’ll be checking in from time to time. Merry Christmas and stay well and safe if you possibly can. I love each and every one of you precious people. God bless!
