The Scriptural passage for today is found in Psalm 71:20-21: “Though You have made me see troubles, many and bitter, You will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth, You will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.” These could be the plaintive words of Job, but they were penned by the psalmist. We do know that David wrote some of them. The others are lost to time. Regardless, the message is clear: the man had endured many hardships; yet, he knew that God would raise him up afterwards, restore him, and set his feet on solid ground. What a comfort for the Christian to know that the Lord will never leave us or forsake us. No matter the hardship or trial, He is there to see us through and give us renewed hope for a better tomorrow. Our hope is built on nothing less. Let us not grow weary. Amen!
