The Magee Chamber of Commerce sponsored debate was great Thursday night! Good crowd, good food, and good info. I’m sure you are thinking “who won.” Well, I was proud of all 5 of the candidates. They got on that stage, never having run for any public office and faced a crowd, a live stream audience, and answered questions from a guy they had never seen!
Each candidate had strong points. Chris Purdum was quick to answer the questions and qualify his answers. Price Wallace promoted agriculture and broad band internet (2 things I am for—plus other stuff). Hayes Patrick strongly stated his convictions and stood firm on that foundation. Cliff Brown is quite an interesting guy! (Check out his facebook page sometimes) I tell you what, Cliff knew his stuff. Now, Cemper Scott added grace and beauty to that stage and proved again women do have brains!
I don’t have anything negative to say about any of the candidates. I admire them for caring enough about our District 77 to get out there in this 100 degree heat and ask for your vote! These folks care about our area.
