Just saying, thank you Peyton Manning for the way we play and watch football…and all you and your family do for Mississippi.

After 18 years in the NFL, Peyton is retiring. It’s funny to me, “we” always seem to say “Peyton”…not Mr. Manning…but Peyton. I wonder sometimes how many children have been named after him!

Peyton turns 40 later this month…and surely he will become a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

He informed the Broncos Saturday night of his plans to retired. His competitive fire and love of the game fueled his extraordinary career…plus just plain old talent!

Just saying, thank you for the laid back southern guy who set the word of sports on fire!
