Ocean Springs, Miss.—Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann presented checks to county officials in two Gulf Coast counties today: $33,869.15 in tax-forfeited property sales in Hancock County, and $81,017.72 in Jackson County.

In the previous five years, Hancock County has received $512,928 and Jackson County has received $109,347 in tax-forfeited revenue.

“We have made it a priority to make it as easy as possible for people who are interested in buying property to view parcels and place a bid, and these efforts are paying off for our cities, counties, and schools,” Secretary Hosemann said.
