Information from Fire Marshal Charlie Valadie
Times: alarm received@ 0953; on scene@ 1008; under control@ 1015.
FD dispatched to 217 Scott Harrington Rd in South Simpson Co. 3 units w/ 8 personnel responded. Fire reported being in a pile too close to a structure. Upon arrival, found a large pile containing furniture, & other personal or house hold items burning in the yard near the front porch.
FF’s extinguished fire w/ 1 hose & approximately 150 gals of water.
Due to the suspicious nature of the type of items burning & the proximity of that fire near a normally inhabited structure, an investigator was requested.
Simpson SO & Ms State Fire Marshal responded to investigate the circumstances.
