The Magee Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is proud to announce the appointment of Susan Walker as the new Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce of Magee. With an extensive background in education, strategic planning and community engagement, Walker brings a wealth of expertise to serve and strengthen the Magee community.
In her new role, Walker will drive the chamber’s efforts to provide members with the meaningful information, resources, connections, and advocacy they need in order to confidently grow their business, serve the community, and build a lasting legacy. She is committed to cultivating collaboration and strategic partnerships with the business community and elected leaders to strengthen relationships, spark new opportunities, and create a more connected community.

I’m excited to help our business community tap into powerful connections and lead planning meetings to shape a thriving, future-ready City of Magee.”
Walker’s professional background includes experience in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, organizational leadership and advocacy for public policy within the Simpson County School district. She holds a reputation for building collaboration and consensus-building, as well as problem-solving. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Masters of Education from William Carey. Since being named executive director of the chamber, Walker has completed the Heart of Hospitality training with the Mississippi Tourism Association.
Walker is a lifelong resident of Magee and a graduate of Magee High School. She is married to Brent Walker and they have two sons, James and John Riley.
