Susan Fay Robbins Andrews passed away at the age of 63 on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile, Alabama. She was born on April 8, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan.
Susan leaves behind a legacy of a much-lived full life. Family and friends described her as a person that never met a stranger. She loved whole heartedly and would stop at nothing to help someone in need. Susan was all about family, loved her children, and died doing what she loved best which was raising her grandchildren. Susan had a long hard life with more uphill battles that ever, but she faced them head on with steady perseverance. She was fierce, loyal, told you like it was, and was the life of the party. Susan was a beautiful mess.
She is survived by her son, Chuck Cockrell (Jamie); daughter, Sarah Cockrell; Grandchildren, Kylie Sessions, Isaiah Cockrell and a great Grandchild, Kehlani, due in May. Brothers, Frank Daniel Robbins, Richard Hook, John Frank Robbins II, Anthony Robbins, Frank J Robbins; Sisters, Cynthia Redmond, Jane Stafford, and Barbara Gauthier; father, Quinn Holbrook. She also leaves behind friend and former husband Charles Cockrell and his wife Jean. Remembered by her dear friends Jared Beck and Lezalie Duke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Andy” Andrews; mother, Leona “Lee” Holbrook; sister, Annette Grace Robbins and brother, Phillip John Robbins.
A Celebration of Life party was held on Saturday, January 22 at her residence with family and friends.
