Summertime in the south, temperatures rising, and vacationers traveling to beaches for getaways need to be reminded of the damages caused from over exposure to the sun.
Ultraviolet (UV) rays are the number one cause of skin cancer.
Cover up and avoid sun if possible. If one must be in the sun make sure to apply a sunscreen with high SP level of 30 or above to avoid burning of the skin. Reapply sunscreen at least every 2 hours and even more often if you are swimming or sweating.
Find shade when possible. Put off yard work until later in the evening or early morning.
Taking care of your skin not only helps the skin to appear younger but could save your life.
