Special prayers for Dr. Joe Johnston. Dr. Joe broke his hip…had surgery Friday…and hopefully was moved to Collins Hospital today. I guess we better pray for Mary too!!!! Love these two!

Special prayers for young Thomas Jones, son of Ashley and Kelly Jones of Magee. Thomas, a preschooler, has been sick for almost two weeks with a virus that has caused swelling of his eyes and sores in his mouth…he is just pittiful. Thomas was seeing the doctor again today (Monday). I have not received an update on his condition following the doctor visit.

Don’t forget the Chamber of Commerce Banquet is Tuesday night at the FBC Family Life Center beginning at 6. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at the door. The Spirit of Magee and Citizen of the Year awards will be announced and presented at Tuesday night’s meeting. Oliver McLean and Ted Allen will be inducted into the Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame. Miss Mississippi will entertain!

Lots Going On in Magee!

Lots Going On in Magee!

Matthew Harrison, a senior at Simpson Academy, signed to play baseball with Meridian Junior College. I am so excited for Matthew and proud of him. Many of you may not know Matthew…but let me tell you…he is one of the finest young men you will ever meet. Sunday, March 13th, I received a text from Matthew…not expecting one…just got one…the text said “Hey Miss Sue! I was just thinking about you so I figured I would just check and see how you’re doing?”…now really, how many teenagers just reach out to an adult friend with no agenda of getting or receiving anything…not many…but Matthew is the exception to the rule. He is a fine Christian young man with a heart of gold…and I dearly love him. I am so proud for you, Matthew.

As you know, MageeNews.com has just turned 9 years old! Well, for “my” birthday present…we decided to do a little rearranging on the website…and we are not finished yet! I hope you will like the changes and be watching for more!

Just a reminder: If you do not have the MageeNews.com app downloaded on your phone…do so! Watching MageeNews.com on your phone is so easy with the app. Just go to the Google Play or App Store and search for “MageeNews.com”…the download is free…and if possible..check to receive notifications. I don’t send a lot of notifications….but the notifications are a great way to be in the know.

Pray for the sick….we have so many people sick in our city and county.

I hope everyone has a good week…and keep the news coming. I would love to see some Easter decorations! Just email me (sue@mageenews.com) tell me a little about what is in the picture and I’ll be glad to post at no cost!

Remember church notifications are posted free on MageeNews.com.

Blessings
