This weekend has brought much sadness in our community.  Brother Cortez Sellers died Saturday night at Hillcrest Nursing Home.  Brother Sellers taught history to many “older” people in the Magee area.  For the past several years, I have kept Magee High School graduates updated on Brother Sellers…we’ve sent birthday and Christmas cards.  My heart is sad but also happy because Brother Sellers will now be with his wife whom he loved with all his heart.  In sorrow, sometimes we find joy.

Rayford Eubanks died Saturday night following a heart attack suffered at the end of the week.  Rayford has a huge family who loved him dearly.  Please keep this family in your prayers.

I will post both obituaries when received.

Thank you for the notes about my two-year-old grandson, Hudson, who suffered a broken leg Thursday night.  Hudson is doing better…the break was clean…so hopefully in 4-6 weeks he will be good to go!  Hudson is rolling and pulling everywhere now…which is scaring his mother to death!  Boys never slow down.
