Magee Fire responded to a structure fire reported @ 618 1st Ave SW. upon arrival, found fire in the front, right portion of the home. Flames were extending into the attic area. FD personnel had to make a forcible entry through the front door, (home was unoccupied @ the time). Flames were knocked down & limited to these areas. In addition, the home suffered heavy heat & smoke damage through out. Two engines & 3 support units responded with 13 personnel to the scene. Magee Police, Simpson SO, & Covington Ambulance assisted. No injuries resulted from this incident. The cause is unknown at this time.
