Monday, February 15th, turned out to be a stormy day off from work and school for some people.

Cellphones, Ipads, TVs, weather radios, and computers sounded watches and warnings most of the afternoon of many red, yellow, and orange boxes on radar as they passed through Mississippi.

damage3  Reports are coming in from across central and southern part of Mississippi with significant damage reporting  to homes and business in Sylvarena.

 

 

 

Information is also being reported of a person trapped in a home in Jasper County.

High winds caused tree damage to a home on  Jadek Drive North in Magee.(Featured photo)

Tree reported down on Smith Crossing Road close to Hwy49.

Reports are coming in that power lines are down on Hwy 28 between Mize and Magee.

Highway 27 at Rockport is closed due to a tree falling on an 18wheeler.

Strong Hope Community in Copiah County received damage with at least two homes destroyed.

Thousands of people are without electricity at this time across central and southern Mississippi.  Limbs and debris are in roads with some roads blocked due to trees and power lines down.  Everyone proceed with caution as you travel to your destinations tonight.
