On Tuesday, April 9, Steve Womack withdrew his name from the Circuit Clerk’s race. Womack released the following statement below.
With Womack out of the race, that leaves Keliah Berry and Witt Fortenberry in the Republican primary. One of the candidates will face Democrat Terrance Norwood. Incumbents are known to have an upper hand in elections, but with Womack out, this changes the race dynamic completely.
