Altercation at Magee Middle School

This is an update posted on the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office.

Today at Magee Middle School there was an altercation between two students that resulted in one of the kids being hit with a back pack. A small sharp object pierced through the fabric of the back pack and cut the other student. The student was treated at Magee General ER and released shortly after. This incident is being handled by the superintendent’s office and the Magee Middle School.

According to local authorities, a stabbing took place at Magee Middle School around noon Tuesday, September 28, 2021.  The students were exiting the cafeteria when a 14 year old student stabbed a 12 year old student in the back.

The victim was transported to Magee General Hospital where he is in stable condition.

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office is working the case.

No names will be released due to age.
