The Magee Fire Department and Magee Police Department received a call at 9:30 AM informing the agencies that an 18 wheeler hauling animal waste bi products spilled a portion of its load in the highway.

Magee Fire responded with 4 apparatus and 10 personnel.  Firefighters used shovels  and reel hose to remove the spill from the road.  The Magee Police Department provided traffic control.

Once the highway was cleared, firefighters applied absorbent to the slick roadway. MDOT  arrived on the scene to apply sand to the road as well.
