Special People in Your Hometown!
By:  Lacey Rowe

It never gets old for those certain special people to see you and compliment you!I had this very thing to happen as I was out shopping. People that I may not have seen in several years or recognize. They stop me and speak and tell me that they appreciate my article. I’m so humbled by their kind words and I let them know how much I enjoy writing the pieces and sharing about what is important to me

It is hard for women to sometimes open up and share their weaknesses or even their strengths. It makes us a bit vunerable and lets our guard down which is difficult for us women to do unless we know we can count on that special girlfriend’s trust. We definitely need those few special people in our lives. Choose them wisely, as these are the people that make us a better person. They push us to do the right thing and make you think before you act. Those are the ones that lift you up with encouragement, that pray with you, and help you be accountable in your decision making. We need friends that chose higher standards, it makes us a better person. It helps us seek excellence.

Surround yourself with these special people. They are the keepers. These are the ones that truly care. All others are what I call fickle friends. Fickle friends are the ones in your life that may be sweet but they are only passing through. They are not always reliable or they may even be the ones that drag you down with their negativity. When it comes time that you need them, they just simply are not there for you. They are simply not reliable. You know who they are and maybe a couple of names have already come to mind as your reading this. We all have both people in our lives and if you don’t know which category they are in, trust me when I say, you will eventually find out. Once you find out the difference in the two kinds of friendships invest more time with the ones that are genuine, the ones that want your success and are supportive in your efforts.

I have to say I’m fortunate to have a lot of these special friends in my life–the ones that have given me the opportunity to decorate, help them with their wardrobes or just be there for me to help me in my time of need. Its not just about what you can do for them but if they are there for you when you need their help. We all need help from time to time.

So who are these special people in your hometown? You know who you are and I wanted to take the time to thank you in this article. For those who read, like, and support me in my efforts. Thank you for telling me when you see me that you enjoy reading my pieces, it does mean a lot to me and I am grateful. Out of these opportunities I have developed some of the most unique and special friends and even re-kindled some. Thank you all again from the bottom of my heart.
