LAUREL, Miss. — May 9, 2025 — National Hospital Week will be celebrated across the country from May 12–18, and South Central Regional Medical Center is planning a fun-filled lineup of programming centered around this year’s theme: “Game On.”

The organization will host a Blessing of the Hands ceremony, where hospital chaplains will pray over the hands of providers; a Years of Service breakfast, meant to celebrate those employees who have devoted a noteworthy number of years to the organization; and several other fun events that are open to all hospital employees.

“Hospital Week is more than a celebration — it’s a reminder of the incredible impact our team has every single day,” said SCRMC President and CEO, Gregg Gibbes. “Whether it’s saving lives, comforting families or supporting each other, our staff rises to the challenge with heart, skill and unwavering dedication. We are proud to honor those efforts this week.”
