I am working trying to get additional information on sirens etc around noon today (Friday). From what I know so far, car on fire out highway 28 near Pine Grove…from what I am hearing…no one was in the car and officials have been unable to locate a person or persons who could have been in a wreck (checked area hospital).
I feel additional information will be available shortly…but then I never know.
The area is under the jurisdiction of the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office which was in route to the scene. Magee Fire Truck immediately responded and is now (12:30 PM) back at the station.
Should be more to this story…I’ll keep trying to find out!
Ok, the main big siren was the test siren…everything just seemed to happen at the same time
The owner of the car did show back up after the fire department had the fire extinguished…guess he wasn’t hurt
