The Simpson Academy offense seemed to be clicking on all cylinders last night with 381 yards of total offense. It was a split attack with 199 yards on the ground and 182 yards in the air.

Carter Cockrell gave the Cougars an early lead with a 17 yard rushing TD. Then early in the 2nd quarter Berry connected with Tyler Stanford for an 8 yard TD pass to increase the lead to 14-0.  The Cougars ended the half with a 23 yard field goal by Sawyer Dunn to give them a 17-0 advantage going into halftime.

The second half played out to be more of the same. Brentley Berry connected with Chance Funchess on a 37 yard touchdown pass to put Simpson Academy up 24-0. Then finally late in the 4th quarter Sawyer Dunn intercepted a pass and took it back for 6 points to seal the deal at 30-0.

The Cougars defense allowed 124 total yards and only 9 first downs. The defensive attack was led by Matt Adcock, Tyler Stanford, and Colby Womack with 4 tackles each.  Simpson Academy has only allowed 12 points in 3 games.

#9 Benjamin Kennedy: #72 Lee Easterling: #53 Ashton Wood

Next up for the Cougars will be MRA this Friday night at home.
