The Cougar Softball team is already in full swing this season, kicking things off with an impressive start last week! With four standout seniors leading the charge—Kylin Chisholm, Jada Smith, Dani Copper, and Mallory Duncan—the Cougars are poised for a powerful year.

I had the privilege of interviewing the senior players along with Coach Matt Harrison and Headmaster John Shows. Their passion and leadership shine through, both on and off the field.

Coach Harrison has been guiding these athletes since junior high. Over the years, they’ve not only grown as players but as a family. Matt is more than a great coach—he’s a man of strong character, grounded in his faith and love for the game.

Headmaster Shows, now in his first term, is a visible and enthusiastic supporter of Simpson’s academics and athletics. You’re likely to spot him at every game, cheering alongside the Cougar faithful.

These interviews highlight the heart behind the team. Take a few minutes to listen—and don’t forget to show the Cougars your support this season!
