Friday night, August 27, 2021, game saw the Cougars of Simpson solidly defeat Wayne County 32-3.
The Cougar offense seemed to get on track moving the ball both rushing and passing. A big rushing performance by Carter Cockrell was too much for the Wayne Academy defense to handle.
Again, Simpson’s defense played excellent pursuing the ball all night making big play after big play.
Head Coach Todd Mangum was unable to coach his Cougars from the sideline due to COVID. Mangum managed to be apart of the game from his car!
