The SCA Cougars fought 4 full quarters …and it paid off! The Cougars defeated ACCS 51-41. The Cougars took charge in the third quarter and succeeded in their climb to victory.

At the end of the first quarter, ACCS had 15 points and Simpson 13. The halftime score was ACCS 25 Simpson 23.

Whatever Coach James Crain said to his boys in the locker room during half time, sealed the deal. The boys came out determined to win.

At the end of the third quarter, Simpson took the lead 35 to 32. With 3:52 left in the game Simpson continued to lead 41-38. With 1:18 left Simpson continues to pound the board and brings the score to 45-39. With only 57 seconds left, the Cougars lead 45 to 41.

Final score: Simpson 51 and ACCS 41….

Simpson plays Leake at 7:15 Saturday night in Canton for the AA State Championship.
