Mississippi State Senator Andy Berry, who represents Senate District 35 — which includes Simpson, Jefferson Davis, Lawrence, and Copiah counties — traveled to Washington, D.C., on July 15, 2025, to participate in a State Leadership Conference at the White House.

The event brought together members of the Mississippi Legislature, other state officials, senior White House staff, and members of the President’s Cabinet for high-level discussions on key issues affecting both the state and the nation. Topics included infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic development.

Senator Berry joined fellow Mississippi leaders in a series of policy-focused discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation between federal and state governments and providing direct input into national decision-making.

“It was an honor to represent Mississippi and our local communities at the White House,” said Senator Berry. “These meetings are vital for ensuring that the needs and concerns of District 35 are heard at the highest levels.”

The conference underscores the administration’s continued commitment to working closely with state leaders in shaping policy and addressing regional challenges.
